Eligibility Criteria

We are looking for motivated and passionate young individuals who are eager to contribute to a diverse and dynamic learning environment.

To apply through our UWC national committee, you must meet the following criteria:

1. Age requirement

To meet the age criteria, the applicant must have been born between March 1, 2008, and September 1, 2010. 
This typically aligns with students entering the final two years of secondary education, but specific age requirements may vary by UWC school or college.

2. Educational background

All candidates must have completed 10th-grade level education with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (75%) for private schools and 2.8 (70%) for government schools on the SEE/CBSE/ICSE or other equivalent board exams.  

A strong academic record is important, but we also value a demonstrated commitment to learning beyond the classroom.

Candidates applying through UWC Nepal must:

(Applicants DO NOT need their Nagarikta, (Citizenship) at the time of the application. If selected, they must expedite the process to create it.

You may or may not be living/studying in Nepal right now, but if you are a citizen of Nepal, you are eligible to apply for UWC through the Nepal National Committee. 

4. Personal qualities and values

While academic excellence is important, UWC seeks students who exhibit:

5. Language requirements

UWC schools and colleges primarily use English as the language of instruction. While fluency is not required at the time of application, applicants are advised to attain a basic proficiency in English and demonstrate a willingness to improve their language skills.
